New to Church?

Welcome! Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about our Church.

Key information about the churches

Where & when does the church meet?

There is Holy Communion at 9am or 10.45am in either Holy Cross Church, Sarratt or St. Paul's Church, Chipperfield every Sunday and a variety of  other services throughout the month. To find the location of each church, click on the church names. To see the details of service times and places click here .  We suggest that you should aim to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the service to allow you sufficient time to prepare yourselves and be settled for the service, and to ensure you are not in a rush to park your car and make your way to church.

There is a small church car park at Holy Cross. There is a car park outside the church in Chipperfield and plenty of on street parking nearby.

Wheel-chair access is level at St.Pauls and there is a movable ramp which can quickly be put into position for access at Holy Cross.
At St Paul's we offer level access from the car park and a disability compliant WC. Plus hearing loop.

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome, particularly from our Welcomers who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. Except for more informal worship, the form of service follows that prescribed by the Church of England for Holy Communion, Morning or Evening prayer. Our Family Service at St Paul's is on the 3rd Sunday of the month and the Family Service at Holy Cross is on the 4th Sunday of the month. On a 5th Sunday, there is usually a special service which is crafted for the occasion.

What happens to children at church?

Everyone is welcome to attend any of the services. The Family service at St Paul's on the 3rd Sunday and the 4th Sunday at Holy Cross are more accessible for young children.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

We aim to make all who come, feel at ease, so you are free participate in as much or as little as feels comfortable for you.

I have more questions, how can I get in touch and ask them.
